The keyboard piece is contoured rather than a plain bar. It rises at each end and dips through the middle, so the foam meets the heel of each hand instead of running flat across both.
Memory foam under a fabric surface. It gives where you rest and returns when you lift. The base is non-slip, so neither piece travels across the desk while you type.
